THE COMPLEX OF BAYAZID II.

It is by the River Tunca. It is a complex composed of the mosque, medical school, a hostel, hospital, recovering house, candle house, bathhouse, and a mill. However, the bathhouse and the mill were ruined. The Architect Hayrettin built the complex upon the writ of Beyazid II in 1484-1488. The complex along with its sections is one of the greatest charities of the Islamic world during 1484-1488.

Its design indicates the development of the Islamic architecture. It is one of the mosques inspired by the architect Mimar Sinan. The hospital and medical school are in the west side of the mosque. The most important part of the hospital is composed of a sofa with five lounges and a chamber of six domes circled below the greater dome. There are rooms and one garden encircled by porticos at the front. The left part at the entrance to the garden is the kitchen and launderette.

The medical school is composed of eighteen classrooms with a big dome covered with other domes around the garden encircled by the porticos. There is a ritual fountain in the middle of the garden. The mosque is situated on four walls with one dome and two minarets. There are sections for ritual ablutions at the right and left parts.

A ritual hostel takes place at the eastern side. The recovering houses are at the right and left.
