KARASEYH MOSQUE

karaşeyh camii

It is not known on whose side the mosque, which was built in the 15th century, was built. However, it is among the rumors that the mosque took its name from Abdullah Efendi, nicknamed Kara Sheikh, who lived in the 18th century. It is included in the sources where it was used as a library in the 1950s. It was repaired in the 2000s. The mosque has a rectangular structure with the main worship area and the last congregation area. The entrance of the mosque is highlighted by the shield wall, which is frequently seen in Bursa mosques.
